I have some friends who are talented in the area of event planing. Matt Power and Matt Crane are teaming up this year and throwing two party one location event for New Years Eve at The Martini Bar. Check out all the event info here. Here are some photos I shot for the event promo materials.

In september, I did a shoot with Ennis for their new album called "Lessons Learned". They wanted some natural shots for the album artwork, promotional materials and also their website. These guys were amazing to work with! Check them out on facebook here and their website here.

Elizabeth Burry Fine Art and Gift Gallery

I Had a shoot with Elizabeth Burry this past weekend at her studio (Elizabeth Burry Fine Art and Gift Gallery). This was for her new catalog to display her high quality collection of jewelry called "Essential Elements". This line is hand made and consists of 6 color ways, Volcano, Earth Wind and Fire, Sand Storm, Latte Browns, Ocean Wave and Northern Lights. Each color way has 6 different styles of earrings, 2 styles of bracelets and 3 different necklaces. No two pieces are the same. Check out her facebook group here and her website here.

SLCFJ:pb Takes A Trip To Brigus

Myself and a bunch of friends (SLCFJ:pb) took a trip out to Brigus this past weekend to shoot photos. Hopefully there will be many more of these in the near future, I really want to take more landscapes and get better at them, plus i like adventures. Here are a few shots of the ocean and one of the church. Word up!

Hustle To Get Here Event Shots

Ok, this is a photo heavy post. Here are some of the shots I took before and during Hustle. Matt and Paddy had all the Bboy and Bgirl competitors pile in to a party bus earlier in the day to take a tour of St. John's. We went to Signal Hill first and then Cape Spear where everyone had their photo taken by the water.

Hustle To Get Here Promo Materials

Hustle To Get Here was this past weekend at the Fieldhouse at MUN in St.Johns, NL. The event was awesome and very successful. Not sure on the numbers but i believe there was over 1000 people in the bleachers! 16 bboy/bgirl competitors and 5 hip hop dance crews battled it out for a top price in each section. Bboy Morris (from California, representing the crew Flex Flav) walked away with the top price of $1000. Sorensen School Of Dance (St.John's) won the Hip Hop battle and got $500. Here is the poster and ticket I designed for the event as well as the teaser that my boy Chris Nicholas made along with the genius minds of Matt Power and Paddy Green who put off this event. Break Dancing / More East Rock Crew

Lots of new news, well really only 2 points but they are cool ones, check it

1) Up coming bboy battle "Hustle to Get Here" is coming up in september. This will be, i believe, the first large bboy battle in St. Johns yet! Matt Power (manager of East Rock Crew, photo below) and Paddy Greene are organizing this event and bringing in bboys from other parts of Canada. Ill be posting more info as it progresses but for now, ill start off that news with a photo from a shoot i did for the posters and promo materials. trailer to follow as well.

2) East Rock Crew preformed at Busker Fest a few weeks ago in St. Johns and KILLED it. Photo below, ERC rocking their new t-shirts that we designed and printed at our new studio (www.bold-creative.com coming soon)

Work Photos

Ok... so its been a month... again... slacker over here, oh well im really trying to get better at this. Below are some shots I took for the ad agency I work for m5 (www.m5.ca). m5 recently rebranded and did a corporate magazine so they wanted some interesting photos, here are a couple I shot of the creative directors (beach, trampoline and forest) and Sheldon (sitting) from Podium Digital (www.podiumdigital.com). I Have Been Slacking

So its been a good few weeks since i posted last... actually it may have been over a month.  No excuses, i need to get back on the ball. Lots of new photos have been taken over the last little while, most of them for work! Hopefully i will get to post them soon, but for now, here is the team photo i promised from the AXBL tournament. Hopefully ill get some time to take a good shot of the jerseys and t-shirts (bare in mind, this was my first time designing a paintball jersey.)

Paintball in Nova Scotia

My self and the NL Wreckhouse team (from Frontline Paintball) spent the past weekend just outside Hubbards Nova Scotia playing paintball... well i didn't play, but i did capture the memories. This was the first time the boys have played in the AXBL league and they did very well. They played hard both days and the games were close, they have a few more games coming up this summer that all count toward a grand prize. Photos from this event coming soon :)

I Eat Cupcakes

I have been wanting to get in to more compositing and creating surreal images. here is one of my first attempts, the main photo i shot in a basement and the background was developed in photoshop using a number of photos and textures. these shots were a request from my boyfriends cousin. the little girl is her daughter and the guy holding the bubbles is the little girls father. Recently, judy (the cousin) had a baby boy, so another shoot is currently being planed for august so keep an eye out! here are the photos :) hope you like

Mike and Laura's Wedding Invitations

I hope two post's in one day is allowed! A friend of mine asked me to do her wedding invitations and rsvp cards a few months ago, i have never designed anything for a wedding before so this was my first go at it! I am happy with the result and i think the bride and groom are as well :) it may be hard to see all the detail but there is a lot of depth to the design if you look closely.

Last weekend i had a photoshoot with Christa Borden for her new cd cover titled "I Rhyme With Orange" none of the shots below are for the cd cover (that will be coming later once its done) but these will be going on her website. Neon Party - Remix 86

My friends power and paddy throw a lot of events, and usually, i get the opportunity to design what they need. this particular shot was from the photo shoot we had for the poster design for a neon party they threw back in january. though this shot wasn't the one  used on the poster, it was my favorite! :) shout out to Remix 86!

Seoul Rok

One of our friends dave (a.k.a seoul rok a.k.a kid korea), left monday to go back to korea to serve in the army for 2 years. i just want to wish dave the best of luck and let him know that we will miss him greatly and cant wait for him to come home. we love you dave!! see you in 2012!
